Lackawanna County Interagency Council Met at: Salvation Army March 16, 20 The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by Chris Davis, President.
Twenty members were present: Chris Davis, Mickey McConnon, Nancy Kilmer, Jane Oswald, Olga Harper, Mary Kay Goddard, Jim Festa, Neen Bracey, Cynthia Lombard, Janice Lamm, Jim Simoncelli, Joanne Stephens, Cheryl Rutkowski, Linda Denault, Marge Suarez, Vikki Crosby, sue Conrad, Marie Tierney, Judi, Cimino, and Simone Wang.
The minutes were reviewed and the following 2 corrections were made: The 800 number for Friendship House is incorrect in their brochure. The correct number is 800-588-0058. Also the contact number for Sue and Marie is 342-8305.
OLD BUSINESS: v Carolyn and Jim have updated the web site. It will be available to view at the luncheon. v Bryers Market is providing Chicken strips, Meatballs, rigatoni and salad for a cost of $12.00 per person. Members will provide the deserts. A sheet was passed around for volunteers. v Jane Oswald will do press release and program for luncheon v Remember to bring flyers and brochures to the luncheo
NEW BUSINESS: v Tom McHugh has resigned as Vice President. Marie Tierney volunteered for the position. Marge made the nomination, Simone seconded – All in favor. Congratulations and Thank You Marie. v It was decided to give a Special Recognition Award at the luncheon. Sue and Marie to do plaque or certificate.

v AGENCY UPDATES – o Jim Festa is developing a written disaster plan for the Red Cross. This is to help agencies work together during emergencies. o Simone Wang – Safety Net hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from Noon to 4:00 p.m. They can provide prescriptions, transportation, work shoes, car insurance etc. when necessary. Call 347-4730 o Marge asked that clients with shut off notices be referred to Crisis not the Salvation Army o Chris asked for suggestions for job opportunities for released prisoners.
